Artist’s statement: “This piece came from a Brazilian song called “Disritmia,” especially the line about being photographed through someone’s beautiful eyes. I kept thinking about what it means to be seen like that: how intense and personal it can feel. I wanted the eyes to really stand out, so I made the pupils bright yellow and the skin purple to create a strong contrast. It’s meant to feel a little surreal, but also very focused on that moment of looking and being looked at.“
