The Dent House has long been part of the cultural landscape of Matilija Canyon. Originally located along Ventura Avenue, the home was later relocated deeper into the canyon near the artistic community of Ojai, where it became known for its unique history and character.
The portrait known as the “Dent House Lady” once hung inside the home, serving as a quiet but memorable presence within the historic residence. When new owners acquired the property in 2014, the painting left the house and has since remained a distinctive artifact connected to its story.
Today, this portrait offers collectors and local history enthusiasts a rare opportunity to own a piece associated with one of Ojai Valley’s historic homes.
