Artist’s statement: “UFO is inspired by the word “space” and finding the beauty in everyday life. I interpreted the idea of space in this photograph through the composition, subject, lighting, and use of negative space. This piece depicts a night sky with two lines of light running through part of it, and mountains and light from cars in the foreground. I want to express the feeling of emptiness and loneliness in this photo, and make the viewer feel interested and questioning. “
